Bi-Weekly Video Fishing Report & Forecast - December 12th Edition

Ivan Orsic / Dec 12, 2019

Over the past several weeks, we've been experiencing some great winter fishing along the South Platte and on many of our favorite freestones. It's been relatively mild along the Front Range over the last week and that's certainly helped, but fish have been munching midges, blue-wings, and attractors in faster water than you'd expect. Which is nice. There's plenty of really wintery stuff headed our way over the next week. While some of those colder winter temperatures will most likely temporarily impact fishing on freestones like the Colorado and Eagle, we expect the South Platte to continue to produce.

With midges serving as the most common fare on both tailwaters and freestones alike, pay attention to your drift and depth. Adjust those and the patterns should matter less. Prefer your River Reports in writing? No problem, be sure to check out our Fishing Information page for up-to-date fishing reports!
