Casting and Cocktails - August 23rd

Ivan Orsic / Aug 13, 2012

Casting and Cocktails - Knot your average fly fishing event

Here’s what we bring - a quiver of Scott A4s and a massive Yeti cooler filled with ice.

Here’s what you bring - a good sense of humor and a desire to learn how to fly cast or improve your current casting skills... and BYOB.

Here’s where/when we bring it: August 23th 5:00-7:00pm on the South East Corner of Washington Park (Louisiana and Gilpin).

- Do you want to get the feel of a fly rod for the first time and learn the basic mechanics of fly casting?

- Do you want to learn how to double haul, increase your line speed and punch your casts through the wind?

- Do you want to know the secret to dropping eighty foot bombs for your next saltwater trip this fall or winter?

All these mysteries will be solved on Thursday August 23th in Washington Park from 5:00-7:00pm on the Southeast corner of the park right at the intersection of Louisiana and Gilpin. In addition to FREE casting lessons and clinics, we’ll also be talking about fly fishing 101 and we’ll demonstrate some basic knot tying. This is our third hands-on clinic that is geared to help improve your fishing knowledge and skills with the sole purpose of getting you into more fish. Come join the staff of Trout’s Fly Fishing for Casting and Cocktails - we’re here to help.
