Featured Trouts Guide Report of the Week - 5/19 Edition

Ivan Orsic / May 19, 2019

We're proud to bring a new weekly feature to the blog this season. Every week, we'll bring you a guided trip report fresh off of the water from one of our professional Fly Fishing Guides. Each week, we will feature a report that will detail the location, timing, hatch information, fly selection, and rigging. For this week's feature, here's a report from Trouts Denver Head Guide Scott Dickson.

LOCATION: South Platte River below Deckers

"Tough morning but good afternoon. Looked for fish in the soft water but didn’t really find many. Found them deeper water along seams. They were eating worms, and leeches, and stones, but mainly worms. I had multiple fish puke their worm lunch in my net. Several had worms hanging out of their mouth when we caught they. I’d recommend using worms."
