Featured Trouts Guide Report of the Week - 9/30 Edition

Ivan Orsic / Sep 30, 2019

We're proud to bring a new weekly feature to the blog this season. Every week, we'll bring you a guided trip report fresh off of the water from one of our professional Fly Fishing Guides. Each week, we will feature a report that will detail the location, timing, hatch information, fly selection, and rigging. For this week's feature, here's a report from Trouts Denver General Manager Zeke Hersh.

LOCATION: Colorado River
GUIDE:
Zeke Hersh
LENGTH OF TRIP:
Float Trip
FLOWS:
2200 cfs

Fishing a little slow in mornings and starts to pick up around 11:30 AM as water temps start to come up. Fishing mostly long droppers - 30" plus with hopper-dropper rigs. Fish in all the likely spots. Caught fish on a variety of droppers, but still got a couple top water eats with Chubby Chernobyls.

Tungsten Rainbow Warriors - Size #14
KGB - black - Size #16
KGB - blue - Size #16
