Trouts Fly Fishing Forecast | October 12th Edition

Ivan Orsic / Oct 12, 2020

Dare we say it...it's about to really be fall. Not this summery fall we've been having...but actual fall with clouds and cooler weather. If the forecast for the next couple of weeks holds, we'll be in the thick of fall fishing in no time. That means blue-wings, midges, and streamers. Huzzah! Flows on freestones are lower, but that's to be expected in the late season.

The South Platte near Deckers is dropping and we're expecting it to drop to around 70 cfs as we move into fall. That means the return of light tippet and small bugs on the South Platte!
