Hi guys, Kyle Wilkinson from Trouts Fly Fishing here. I want to tell you about one of the coolest new products to hit the market this year, the Fishpond Headgate Tippet Holder. The guys over at Fishpond always seem to have their creative wheels spinning and this product here is proof positive. Afterall, who else has been sitting around saying, “How can we reinvent a tippet holder?”. Well, here you go folks. Using the Headgate couldn’t be easier, and works great whether you’re carrying just a couple spools of tippet, or maxing it out at it’s capacity, which is 7 standard spools of tippet. One thing I really like is how the Headgate holds spools horizontally, as opposed to the vertical orientation we’ve seen on various tippet posts throughout the years. To load spools on to the Headgate, simply pull out on the spring-loaded knob and swing it open. Next, slide the rubber washer off the orange bar and add your desired spools of tippet. Place the rubber washer back on the orange bar. One final pull of the spring loaded knob secures the holder back in place The Headgate tippet holder is made out of durable stainless steel and aluminum and also features a built in razor blade line cutter on the side. There you have it folks. The Headgate tippet holder. Simple. Durable and available at Trouts Fly Fishing and troutsflyfishing.com. Thank you.
