Gear Review: Simms Rogue Fleece Hoody

Ivan Orsic / May 13, 2011

What We Say:

The new Simms Rogue Fleece Hoody is and ideal mid weight jacket for Colorado's unpredictable spring weather. When the wind howls and precipitation is always a possibility. The Rouge's wind and water-resistant outer shell stands up to the challenge. The fleece-lined interior is just right for cooler spring temps, and not overly bulky. Couple a high performance piece of gear, with Simms' great design and very stylish new Trout Camo print, and this hoody will keep you comfy on and off the water. Do beware of Simms' of overly-generous sizing, as a Simms' medium is more akin to a standard large.

Last Minute Thoughts: Warm, windproof and good-looking, a great jacket for Spring-time! Beware of Simms' sizing, and think about geting a size smaller than you normally wear.

What They Say:

The Hoody I wear on the job is just right for a few late afternoon casts in the canyon on the way home. I just throw a small fly box in the chest pocket and I’m fishing in minutes.
