Granby Ranch - a Trouts Exclusive Property

Ivan Orsic / Sep 4, 2014

As of late Summer 2014, Trouts Guide Service has exclusive rights to the waters of Granby Ranch. Located just outside of Granby, CO., Granby Ranch hosts 4 miles of prime access to the famed Fraser River. With a healthy assortment of rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout, Granby Ranch is a prime location to experience Colorado Fly Fishing at it's best.

Operating on the beat system, Granby Ranch is divided into 4 beats, each of which offers it's own unique characteristics and fishing opportunities. Yet despite their differences, they each share a similar quality in prime fishing, healthy populations of fish, and varying challenges that will test skill of any angler. What is best and most intriguing about this property is that it offers anglers access to private water in it's natural form.

The method of fishing ideal for Granby Ranch will vary throughout the year depending on water levels, insect hatches and weather. Mid to late summer is definitely our favorite time to fish this property, as lower water levels and an abundance of bugs both on and below the waters surface, make for ideal dry and dry/dropper fishing. Fall is another productive time of year, with small to mid-sized streamers offering rewarding results.

The remainder of the year should offer great fishing on this new Exclusive Property, so if you're looking for a great day on the water, all while staying close to the Denver area, look no further than Granby Ranch. Dates are booking up fast, so be sure and call or book online to reserve you day on this great property.
