THANK YOU!!! 2nd Annual Throwback Fly Fishing Film Fest Recap

Ivan Orsic / Feb 11, 2019

It's been almost a week since the 2nd Annual Throwback Fly Fishing Film Fest. The dust has settled and we've done the math. A heartfelt thank you for all of the support that all of you showed for the Denver South Platte. With over 300 people in attendance on a Tuesday night in January, it was a packed house.

First and foremost, through ticket sales, raffle ticket sales, and donations from sales of Oskar Blues, we raised the $7500 necessary to purchase another acre-foot of water for the Denver South Platte.

We'd be remiss if we didn't send out a big thank you to RA Beattie, Beattie Outdoor Productions, and Off the Grid Studios for putting together an entertaining and thoughtful selection of old classics from their archives. A selection that told a cool and cohesive story of their journey through fly fishing media over the last 15 years.

Special thanks to Frank Smethurst, The Fly Fishing Film Tour, The Drake, Scott Wells, Aaron Abeyta, Winston Fly Rods, Fishpond, Simms Fishing Products, Abel Reels, Ross Reels, Yeti, Costa, Oskar Blues, and Fishpond for their generous donations of time and prouct. It truly was an amazing night filled with classic fly fishing films for a great cause. Check out some pictures from the night!
