The Tape Deck // A Weekly Playlist

Brandon Rodriguez / Jul 9, 2021

WELCOME TO The Tape Deck by TROUTS Fly Fishing a collection of the TROUTS staff favorite jams. It does not matter if you are tying flies, driving to the trailhead, or drinking a couple of cold ones after a day on the water. Consider The Tape Deck your new weekly soundtrack, for any activity you do. You can expect The Tape Deck to be updated every Friday. Available for free on Spotify.

Have a favorite song or band you've been jamming to that makes you consider throwing "One More" cast? Shoot me an email at brandon@troutsflyfishing.com

A music playlist, not your thing? No worries, still head over to Spotify to check out the catalog of episodes on The Current podcast with host, Will Rice. The latest episode features one of the most famous names in the sport, and everyone's favorite mentor, Tom Rosenbauer.

Moving forward, these weekly playlists will be accompanied by a weekly round-up or "recap" of information from TROUTS fly fishing, such as our Fly Fishing Forecast, Five Flies video series in case you missed them. Also, these weekly posts will include relevant conservation news specific to the Colorado area. Have some conservation news you want to share or think is important? Send me an email, I want to hear about it.

Speaking of Conservation news in Colorado, if you did not know by now, CPW released a statement earlier this week regarding the Colorado River. While this is unfortunate for this popular stretch of water CPW's statement should not be a reason to stay home. This is the perfect time to explore some high country options and see what the alpine has to offer. The Front Range also offers some incredible warm water options if the high country is not in the cards this weekend. Our most recent Fly Fishing Forecast breaks down how to be successful on these stretches of water.

So, get out. Gas up the truck, load up the fly boxes, and enjoy the weekend.

Oh, and make sure to take The Tape Deck with you.
