This Just In: Orvis

Ivan Orsic / Feb 18, 2016

As many of you may know, Trouts Fly Fishing is an Orvis Endorsed Outfitter and as such, we use Orvis products on all of our guided trips here at the shop. From their waders and boots, to rods and reels, it would be tough to think of a better way to put gear to the test than by guiding with it day in and day out.

After years of putting Orvis gear to the test through both personal fishing and our guided trips I can tell you this much....it flat out gets the job done. Quality craftsmanship. Durable construction. Impeccable customer service. If you haven't checked out some of the new products by Orvis lately, I highly recommend giving it a second look.

So whether you fall into the above mentioned category, or perhaps are a lifelong supporter of the Grand Ol' Brand, Trouts Fly Fishing is THE place to get your hands on this top quality gear.

We recently received a large shipment of new Orvis gear for the Spring 2016 season so whether you've got a new pair of waders, boots, or perhaps just some leader and tippet on your mind, swing on by the shop. We've got you covered.

Here are a few of our staff favorites to hit the sales floor this week:

Access Wading Boot- I've worn these boots for coming up on a year and they are still going strong. It doesn't hurt that this is also one of the most comfortable wading boots I've ever worn. Lightweight, durable, and ultra grippy. This boot is the real deal.

Encounter Wading Boot- at $119, the Encounter Wading Boot provides an entry level price without providing entry level performance. One of the best boots for the money, period.

Encounter Wader- Like it's counterpart boot, these waders offer a wallet friendly price tag, with features you'd expect to find on waders costing twice as much. You won't find a better pair of waders for under $200.

Silver Sonic Wader- The Silver Sonic Waders have been around for a number of years at this point and are what we use for all our guided trips. They are a rock solid wader that you can depend on years of use out of- just like we do for all the customers we guide! Available in both Men's and Women's cuts!

Super Strong Plus Leader/Tippet- redesigned for 2016. This new mono is super tough, abrasian resistant and built to take whatever you throw at it.

NEW camo pattern- available on their various sling packs and Safe Passage Carry-It All Rod Case

Hydros SL Reel- One of the best new reels to hit the market in years. Arguably the best $200 reel to ever be created. Read my full review of the SL HERE.
