Trouts Fly Tying - Tying the Soft Hackle Pheasant Tail

Ivan Orsic / Feb 22, 2019

With spring and the Fifth Season approaching, there is no more productive fly you can have in your fly box than the Soft Hackle Pheasant Tail. With Blue Winged Olives becoming active and this fly imitates emerging or swimming mayflies and flat out produce as the water temperatures start to warm up.

Trouts Guide Josh Diller dropped by the Trouts Frisco location on a snowy February day to throw this video together.
