THE GOODS

Guide: Ian Sullivan

Date: 7/18/22

Location: Arkansas River Near Granite

Great family fun day on the Arkansas river today! Flows and weather were nice with the river around 550 cfs and it being a sunny morning. Midges were popping from the start and fish were feeding early. As the morning progressed fish continued to eat but moved onto different bugs. We started to see some Caddis, PMDs, Yellow Sallys and Tricos. Fish were in all the traditional spots and behind structure. Only saw a few risers but no complaints when they are happily eating below the surface throughout the day. Hot flies were black beauty midge, top secret midge, graphic caddis and splitback PMD.
