Trouts Guide Service Report: 8/5 Rowdy Trout Ranch

Ivan Orsic / Aug 5, 2015

If you haven't noticed, things are shaping up quite nicely around the Front Range as of late. It's full on Summer in every sense of the word, however everything is still mighty green thanks to all the moisture of the past few months. Flows are great out there on virtually every waterway and the North Fork of the South Platte is no exception. I was fortunate enough to be a part of a recent trip to The 'Rowdy with the Sivewright group. This trip had been on the books for months and the ringleader of the group (Connor- wearing the visor) happened to be one of my former college roommates/fraternity brothers that I hadn't seen in a year. Needless to say I was looking very forward to this day. The majority of the group was holding a fly rod for the first time in their lives and I can't think of a better place to get someone up to speed on catching and landing big trout that the Rowdy Trout Ranch. In typical fashion, both the river and ponds on the property produced quality fish after quality fish. Great job to Conner and the group and I'm looking forward to the next time already!

Interested in fishing the Rowdy Trout Ranch for yourself? This property is highly managed to ensure a first class experience and as such, only 3 days remain open to fish here in August- the 20th, 23rd and 28th. Give us a call or swing by the shop to put your name on one of these days and then look forward to catching fish like the ones pictured below! 303-733-1434.
