Trouts Guide Service Report: Spring Is In The Air

Ivan Orsic / May 6, 2015

While the fishing still remains great along the South Platte- despite the chocolate milk conditions on some stretches- the pre-increase in flows fishing was outstanding. The fish have continued to really key in on the midges and baetis (especially when they get to hatching) and worms/eggs/stonefly nymphs have been doing an equally good job keeping their attention as well. As always, covering water tends to be the name of the game on most days until you find some actively feeding fish. The S. Platte should continue to fish well through the high flows and you can bet we'll be out there almost every day! For now however, check out some pics from a few or our recent trips! After that, give us a call to book your very own guided fly fishing trip! 303-733-1434
