Trouts Hosted Trip: The Rawah Ranch - July 11th-13th

Ivan Orsic / Mar 26, 2014

Trouts Fly Fishing will be hosting a fly fishing trip for six (6) clients to the Rawah Ranch. Named for the rugged and majestic snow-capped peaks that rise above it and the untouched wilderness that surrounds it, Northern Colorado's Historic Rawah Ranch is located in one of the west's most scenic and unspoiled valleys in North America. Perched in the Colorado Rockies at 8,400 feet, “Rawah” takes its name from the Ute Indian word for “abundance.”

The five species that you can have a shot at hooking include rainbow, brown, brook, and cutthroat trout as well as grayling.

Trouts Fly Fishing and the Rawah Ranch will work with you to put together a fishing itinerary that meets and exceeds your angling aspirations with fishing options that include the over two miles of the Big Laramie River, the Michigan River, Poudre Pass Creek, Joe Wright Creek, Rawah Creek, and other high alpine stillwater fisheries. If you are interested in a float trip we can arrange that as well*.

“I visited the Rawah Ranch last year with a few buddies and the entire trip was amazing,” said Mitch Palin a client of Trouts and recent visitor to the Raway Ranch. “The fishing, the food, and the accommodations were all top notch. After my first trip I ended up taking another with my wife just two weeks later – and she loved it.”

Here is how the Rawah Ranch describes their property and the overall Rawah experience:

“Our private 2 miles of the legendary and exclusive Big Laramie River, also known as the “perfect trout stream” meanders carelessly right through the middle of our ranch, offering anglers of all ages and abilities unbelievable fly fishing opportunities. Daily grand slams of rainbow, brown, and brook trout are not uncommon-in fact they are becoming a regular occurrence. After a great breakfast by the fire at the lodge, schedule a casting class or step right into the river from the porch. Cast flies with your professional fly fishing guide in solitude to ferocious rainbows and wily brown trout. When you are ready, head back to the lodge for lunch. Spend an afternoon or evening as the sun sets over Rawah Peaks casting flies to grayling in one of our nearby Stillwater fisheries.” – The Staff At the Rawah Ranch

The guided fly fishing and ranch accommodations are all complimented by a healthy mouth-watering cuisine for unmatched western adventure and rustic elegance.

Sound good to you? It does to us as well.
