WE'RE MOVING | Trouts Denver Moving to the Denver South Platte

Tucker Ladd / Mar 2, 2020

2020 will mark my 16th year as Owner of Trouts Fly Fishing, and I could not think of a more ideal time to make the following announcement. After nearly 15 years on East 6th Avenue in Denver, Trouts Fly Fishing is proud to announce that we will be relocating our Denver store in early Summer 2020.

Located at 8th Avenue and I-25 on the banks of the Denver South Platte River, our new location offers us twice the retail square footage of our current store, which will allow us to offer an enhanced retail experience to the Denver angling community and beyond. In the end, the decision to move our Denver location did not come easy, but the realities of our current space combined with a desire to elevate the in-store experience at Trouts Denver painted us a clear path forward. And while we will miss being a part of the 6th Avenue community, we trust that all of our current customers will come to enjoy and appreciate all of the added space, parking, services, products and more.

  • Over 3,000 sq/ft of dedicated retail space
  • Expanded product offerings across the store
  • Expanded fly tying inventory and selection
  • Dedicated education and seminar space
  • The Denver South Platte out our back door (with a deck overlooking it to boot)
  • Dedicated on-site parking
  • Ease of access to I-25 and 6th Avenue West
  • Central Denver location for added consumer convenience and access

We are currently in the process of remodeling the new location and will be sure to offer all of our customer’s updates as the project progresses. In the interim, here are some teasers to what our customers can expect from our new flagship store.

We expect the transition to our new space will have minimal impact on our customers, and should only have to be closed for 24-48 hours at most. This is an incredibly exciting time for all of us at Trouts, and we look forward to sharing this experience with you all. In the end, Trouts wouldn’t be who we are today without the support and patronage of all of our customers, friends, colleagues, and family, and we can’t wait to see what this next chapter has in store. In the interim, our home is your home, or maybe we’ll see you out on the water.

Kind regards,

Tucker Ladd, Owner, Trouts Fly Fishing
