TRIP SUMMARY

Quality day at Deckers — water is up and fish are happy! Cold water temps and significant cloud cover made for a slower start but mid morning things really started to turn on. Fish were holding in softer seams and deeper water most of the day. Try midges and PMD nymphs for bugs. With the recent bump in flows, fish also seemed to be keyed in on the classic high protein flies (worms, scuds, leeches). Make sure you’ve got enough weight to get those flies down in the zone quick!
