TRIP SUMMARY

Great day at Deckers again. We wasted no time and we’re hooked up with fish minutes into starting our day. Mayers mini leech in size 16 was the preferred fly by the trout. In the morning we found fish in the typical runs but found most of our fish in the afternoon feeding in shallow riffles. Be sure to keep stealth in mind as you approach the river and riffles. Trout can spot movement on the bank very easily and a spooked trout can be difficult to convince to eat. I like using bajio nippers sunglasses to spot feeding trout in all light conditions. Good luck out there!
