With Runoff in full swing, the Arkansas River can be difficult to guage at times. What we are looking for is consistancy in flows as well as temperatures - both water and air. Check weather and flows before you go, and look for consistency in both. We found fish sitting on the slower side of seems and actually a few feeding on Baetis from the surface in faster water. Flies we found success on were: Jig Fenchie size 18, Miracle Midge size 22 and Parachute Adams size 20.
