Great morning wade trip in the town section of the Blue River. Fish were feeding all morning on midges, mysis shrimp and caddis. Early morning we caught fish nymphing with size 20 Charlie’s Mysis, size 20 black zebra midges and size 20 olive midge larvae. Around 10:00am we started seeing some fish rise and were able to catch several nice fish on dries! Foam ants and elk hair caddis got the job done. All in all a great day! Be sure to use fluorocarbon tippet as the Blue is running very low and clear right now. Good luck out there!
