TRIP SUMMARY

The lower Colorado is fishing great right now. Fishing was a little slow in the morning but lights out after lunch. We were nymphing for most of the day using a variety of heavily weighted flies to get down quick. A size 14 Utah Killer Bug and size 16 frenchie were by far our top flies. In the afternoon we found piles of fish in the deeper, faster water. There is quite a bit of grass and debris in the water which can be frustrating to have to constantly clean your flies all day but the action was worth it. Lots of nice sized Rainbows! Good luck out there!
